Photometer

The Photometer, measures the light intensity. The photoelectric cell, which have been impressed by the light, generates an electrical proportional load to the light intensity received, which is translated in numerical values, which will allow us to set up the exposition using the diaphragms and the shutter speeds. (Exposhure.= Intensity of light x Shutter speed). On video it is important to control the exposure manually not automatically. photometer of the camera, reads spot zone values. With the photometer we controlled the intensity lighting, the luminosity of the scene, the contrast and the general atmosphere needed for the history. To obtain unit of visual treatment, especially on video, the work of lighting and exposure is critical. We must not underexpose or overexpose, especially if that must be transfer to film. The video camera is very sensitive and sees everything, but this doesn't mean that it will be of good qualityr. The light read by the camera in the gray cart, gives us the average scene reflection. Taking the reading of each light source, over the gray card, we will be able to calculate the contrast of the lighting.
